It looks so evil.... it must've been a cloudy day judging from the glare....

There was a dead bat hanging off a wire outside of our uni once.That wsa about as close as I got to a real bat :/

:giggle: i love bats!!! All of em, not just the uber cute fruit bats but the lil ugly ones too:D This is a great shot, i dont think i've ever seen a photo of a bat actually hanging upside down, like i've seen drawings of that or pictures of bats flying, eating, etc, but not just hanging... anyways its got great colour and features the bat really well, i lvoe it:D

yeah, it was overcast, nice lighting
but i was so humid in there, my lens fogged up all the time

no bats in sidney? we got plenty here, come and get some! =)

i'm glad it came out like this, on some others i got ugly flares from the backlight, since i had to overexpose quite a bit

It's kinda strange to put bats in glasshouse isn't it? I assume they like the dark, damp corner of a cave....

I'm scared of their webby wings so never tried to get close to one... We have a ridiculously large population of fruit bats in Sydney, especially around city. You see them circling the lightbeams shooting off the highrise building at night, quite funny to look at :P

I'm a bit scared of bats' webby wings so I never get close to one. Sydney has a ridiculously large population of fruit bats, especially in the city area, at night you see them circling the highbeams shooting off high rise buildings... :D

well, they would have enough dark corners in there, they just prefer the roof, and it's damp enought in there
